Runs from June 3—August 3

Reading Registration begins May 28!

Juvenile Reading Program (Ages 6—11)
Cross off each day of your reading log when you:

  • Read for at least 15 minutes
  • Attend a library program
  • Write a book review
  • Play a learning game (see list)

Every 5 days crossed off will earn you 1 Book Buck.
Use your Book Bucks to buy prizes, raffle tickets, pay
off fines or spend them at the Scholastic Book Fair! Defeat summer slide!!

Journey Into Space—Choose Your Own Adventure
Thursdays, 10am—11am and 1pm—2pm
Each program will include several stations of activities. Drop-in.

Rubber Ducky Club – Early Literacy Program (Ages 0—5) 

Share early literacy activities often with your child and earn a surprise each time you show your weekly progress at the library!

Early Literacy Story Time – Mondays    June 3 – July 29 (No story time July 1st)  10:00am—11:00am  OR  1:00pm – 2:00pm

Stories, rhymes, crafts, and a short movie are enjoyed by everyone. Recommended for preschool age and younger. No registration required.

Tony’s Creepy Crawly Zoo—June 11 3:00pm
An exciting, dynamic, and theatrical hands-on live insect show that inspires a lifelong love of science and STEAM education in our
community’s youth. Sponsored by the Bridges Library System.

Family Story Time Saturday   June 15  10am – 11am Enjoy family fun stories, rhymes, games or crafts. Recommended for ages 8 and younger. No registration required.

City Vehicles Day—June 18  3:00pm
Get a close look at the many BIG vehicles used through the city’s Public Works Department, Utilities and more!

Randy’s Rocking Reading Show—June 25  3:00pm
When Randy was a child, books opened the door to his own lifelong passion for astronomy. The excitement he felt then will energize this show as we take a musical trip through the solar system. Sponsored by the Bridges Library System

Pajama Story Time     Last Thursday of the month – June 27     6pm – 7pm
Enjoy family fun stories, rhymes, games or crafts. Children may wear pajamas and bring a favorite stuffed toy or blanket. Recommended for ages 8 and younger. No registration required.

Ice Cream Reading Challenge—July 9   3:00pm
Earn a delicious bowl of ice cream by reading in the library with friends!

Mad Science—July 16  3:00pm
This interactive event is all about the fundamentals of moving science including Newton’s 3 Laws of Motion and surprises including egg-tossing and space age rocket packs. Discover science and find out why this show is such a “blast!” Sponsored by the Bridges Library System.
