Beatrice Owens Memorial Scholarship
A bequest from Florence G. Allen was deposited by the Karl Junginger Memorial Library Board of Trustees with the University of Wisconsin Foundation to create a scholarship fund for School of Library and Information Studies students in memory of Mrs. Allen’s daughter, Beatrice Owens.
- The scholarship is available to residents of the School District of Waterloo, Wisconsin.
- Up to two scholarships of $2,000 each will be awarded per year by the Board of Trustees of the Karl Junginger Memorial Library.
- Scholarship recipients may re-apply each year and preference will be given to previous recipients who are in good standing with a School of Library and Information Studies at a University of Wisconsin school. If there are multiple applicants, the Board will make a decision based on merit.
- An application and accompanying materials including a resume, two letters of reference, and a letter of acceptance or transcript of credits from a University of Wisconsin School of Library and Information Studies must be returned no later than June 15 of each year to the Karl Junginger Memorial Library.
Awarding of the scholarships will be made before first semester of each school year.
