All it takes is sharing one book a day with your child to build a foundation for lifelong success.

Children who have not yet started Kindergarten are eligible to participate in the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program.

1 | Sign up today! Online with the Beanstack website, Beanstack app, or a paper form at the library’s front desk.
2 | Enter your books online or use the paper logs to track your child’s progress.
3 | After each 100 book milestone, visit the library’s front desk to receive your reward.
4 | When your child reaches 1,000 books read, stop into the library and get a certificate and a reward! Your child may also pose for a picture with
the giant CAFE library card.

How do we read 1,000 books by Kindergarten?
It’s easy!
1 book per day for 3 years = 1,095
10 books per week for 2 years = 1,040
3 books a day for 1 year = 1,095

Can we only count a book title one time?
No matter how many times you read the same book — it’s a new count each time! Repetition is important for learning.

I have more than one child I read to. Can I count the same title for each child?
Of course you can!
