A bequest from Florence G. Allen was deposited by the Karl Junginger Memorial Library Board of Trustees with the University of Wisconsin Foundation to create a scholarship fund for School of Library and Information Studies students in memory of Mrs. Allen’s daughter, Beatrice Owens.

  • The scholarship is available to residents of the School District of Waterloo, Wisconsin.
  • One scholarship of up to $2,000 will be awarded per year by the Board of Trustees of the Karl Junginger Memorial Library.
  • Scholarship recipients may re-apply each year and preference will be given to previous recipients who are in good standing with a School of Library and Information Studies at a University of Wisconsin school. If there are multiple applicants, the Board will make a decision based on merit.
  • An application and accompanying materials including a resume, two letters of reference, and a letter of acceptance or transcript of credits from a University of Wisconsin School of Library and Information Studies must be returned no later than August 12 to the Karl Junginger Memorial Library.
