Summer Reading Program 2022 – June 6 – July 29

In Beanstack, you can view the available activities, enter your reading progress, write book reviews and more. You will receive prizes as you progress and be entered into drawings at the end of the summer. Click HERE to get more details on using Beanstack.

TEEN Events

Take & Make—ages 12 to 18 Pick up an activity bag at the library with craft supplies and directions. While supplies last. Available beginning: June 13, June 27, July 11, and July 25

STAY & Make—ages 12 to 18 Register one month before the date links below to make these crafts at the library.

June 8 @ 2:00pm – Arrow DIY Sign 

June 22 @ 2:00pm – S’Mores REGISTER HERE

July 6 @ 2:00pm – Ductigami REGISTER HERE

July 20 @ 2:00 pm – Garman Hike

Neighborhood Scavenger Hunt—ages teen and younger (June 6—July 29) Pick up a weekly scavenger hunt sheet at the library’s front desk and find everything listed around Waterloo! Once you’ve found all the items, fill out your first and last name on the scavenger hunt sheet and return it in the library’s outside book drop, or at the front desk. Youth Services Librarian, Mrs. Amanda, will then enter the activity for you to earn a ticket in Beanstack!

Summer Celebration—July 30 at 11:00am—1:00pm

Celebrate your summer reading accomplishments with snow cones, games and more! Grand prize winners from all age categories will also be announced.
